Portfolio Review – TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

WHAT SEPARATES GOOD FROM GREAT
Some images are beautiful. Others stop you completely. The difference is rarely one big thing. It’s the way light wraps around a face. The sharpness exactly where it needs to be. The colors that feel intentional rather than accidental. The editing that stays consistent from image to image. That quiet technical mastery that lives underneath the emotion.
This is where honest feedback matters. Not to criticize, but to help you see your own work more clearly. To understand what is already working, what is holding you back, and how to close the gap between the images you make now and the ones you know you are capable of.
HOW THIS WORKS
You send me 15 of your best newborn images, high-resolution exports that represent your current style and approach. A variety of setups, lighting situations, and poses, including work you feel proud of and images you are still questioning. Then we meet on Google Meet for 60 minutes and go through them together.
I look at each image closely. Light quality and direction, exposure consistency, composition and framing, sharpness and focus placement, posing choices, color grading, editing intentionality, tonal range. I tell you what is working and why. I point out the patterns I see across your portfolio, what stays consistent and what fluctuates. And together we identify the three technical areas that, if you focus on them, will move your work forward the most.
Within 48 hours of our call, you receive detailed written notes to keep and return to whenever you need them.
WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
After our session, you will have specific, honest feedback on each image rather than vague suggestions to “improve your lighting” or “sharpen your images.” You will understand what is technically strong in your portfolio and what is costing you. You will know your top three priorities and have concrete steps you can apply to your very next session. And you will have a clearer picture of your own style, the technical choices that are already yours and the ones worth developing further.
HOW TO PREPARE
After booking, you schedule your session within 5 business days and submit your 15 images at least 3 days before the call. Choose your most representative work: different setups, different lighting conditions, different poses. Include images you feel strong about and a few you are still unsure of. Send them as high-resolution exports, ready for close analysis.
WHY THIS KIND OF FEEDBACK IS DIFFERENT
Generic feedback does not see your work. It sees a checklist. This review is built around your images, your style, and your goals. The guidance you receive is specific to you, not borrowed from a template.
In 60 minutes, we cover what actually matters. You leave with clarity, direction, and something you can act on immediately.
